Life and Sentiment

First off, I want to dedicate this to Ryan. He took the picture, we both forgot about it, I found it, finished it off and am now posting it. Ryan is heading off to U of M later this week and may not be returning for a few years. At times like this, you never know when you'll see a friend again, so this is for him, the best friend a guy could ever have. He has always stuck by me, through thick and thin, and he deserves everything he's working so hard to accomplish. We've had a good run, and I'm sure there's a lot to come from us in the future.

Secondly, about the photo. It has a lot of sentimental value to me. I mean, you have Ryan taking a picture, engulfed in what he's trying to do. And you have Khallo (his dog) looking out the window to freedom and bliss. And you have myself on the right, observing the scene while taking a break from photographic study. It sort of symbolizes the entire summer. All in one shot. There's a mud streak from the dog on the window, and everything and everyone is layered in there, in my opinion beautifully.

I apologize for the long-winded explanation, but, I wanted to explain why this is now one of my favorite photographs. I hope you like and appreciate it as I do. Comments are welcome and appreciated.
